AIDS awareness

 

An awareness rally on Blood donation and HIV/AIDS awareness was organized from Maqsudan to Greater Kailash. College staff and all students made their presence felt in great number in an event organized to create AIDS awareness.

 

 

 

Served a feast to the Children from Slum Areas at McDonald’s.

 

Enduring its Food for Needy campaign under ASHA project, CT Group of Institutions organised a feast for the children from Slum Areas. The event was aimed to spread cheer among the kids & youth of Slum areas which really left the children with a wide smile on their face.  

 

 

 

Distributed cycles to promote Good Health and Save Fuel

 

CT Group of Institutions organized a CSR activity to distribute cycles with a view to draw attention of the residents towards the benefits of cycling.

 

 

 

 

Big Streets- Get In, Get Going to promote Car-Free and healthy Lifestyle

 

CT Group of Institutions organizes Punjab’s first ever event which was full of fun, games and excitement to galvanize the citizens to participate in a shared vision of an active and healthy way of life. The Model Town streets from 6am to 9am onwards were cordoned off for the citizens. They used the streets for recreation that promotes health, wellbeing, fitness, togetherness and joy.

 

 

 

 

Hundreds shared the vision of Car Free Zone at Big Streets -Get In, Get Going

 

CT Group of Institutions organized three editions full of fun, games and excitement to galvanize the citizens to participate in a shared vision of an active and healthy way of life. The car free zones were created twice at Jalandhar and once at Ludhiana’s main streets. They used the streets for recreation that promotes health, wellbeing, fitness, togetherness and joy. 

 




Anemia awareness camp


Students & Teachers of CT Public School and CT Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences create awareness among the gathering about the symptoms, precautionary measures and treatment of Anemia at Village Bilga, Jalandhar. During the camp, over 300 volunteers were examined by the team of doctors from IMA, Jalandhar.




Volunteer showcase great interest in the humane endeavour at Blood Donation Camps


Following human interests and Corporate Social Responsibility, CT Group of Institutions organized several Blood Donation camps at its Maqsudan and Shahpur Campus. The camps were organized in association with Civil Hospital, Indian Medical Association (IMA), Jalandhar and other medical organizations.

Famous Punjabi actress Ms. Neeru Bajwa and actors Mr. Harish Verma and Mr. Yuvraj Hans donated blood .Every volunteer showed great interest in this humane endeavour and collectively donated 112 Blood Units to save many lives.

 

 



CTIPS bestowed with award of Achievement in Voluntary Blood Donation



CTIPS bestowed with award of Achievement in Voluntary Blood Donation at the event organized by Youth organization- PAHAL on ‘World Blood Donor Day’ in collaboration with Punjab State AIDS Control Society and Civil Hospital, Jalandhar.



 CHARITY



Keeping in mind the dictum that Charity begins at home, CT Group of Institutions, in its endeavour to help & nourish the underprivileged, made a righteous gesture by giving donations to the Apahaj Ashram & to the Prayas School, Jalandhar.




Clean Jalandhar Drive



CT Institute of Hotel Management (CTIHM) in association with Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar goes for Clean Jalandhar Drive. Students along with the officials of Municipal Corporation held road march in and around Jyoti Chowk area enlightening the local residents about leading hygienic life.  




CTIHM teaches hospitality and hygiene developing skills to CRPF Jawans



Taking an initiative to develop the hygienic and hospitality skills to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Jawans, CT Institute of Hotel Management has organized four days training to the CRPF Jawans of Jalandhar on developing hospitality skill. As many as 50 jawans were taught about International cuisines, first aid and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)




 ‘Say No to Drugs, Yes to Lassi’



 ‘Say No to Drugs and Yes to Lassi’ is a youth drug education and drug prevention campaign was organised by CT Group of Institutions as an initiative to educate youngsters on the dangers of drugs, and challenges them to remain drug-free. Students and Staff members of CT Institute of Hotel Management (CTIHM) held a campaign at Jyoti CHowk carrying slogan charts and banners to aware the youngsters to fight against the drug abuse.





 Safer Night Biking with reflective tapes on Bicycles



On the guidelines of International Road Safety Organisation, CT Group of Institutions organized a campaign in association with Jalandhar Traffic Police to paste the reflective stickers on the rear mudguard of bicycles so that during night cyclists become visible to other vehicles on the road. This campaign was to make people aware about road safety and paste reflective stickers on every cycle.





Cycleathon



Hundreds of people from different walks of life pedaled a few kilometers on their bicycles for creating awareness on the ‘Go Green’ initiative and ‘Zero Emission’. CT Group of Institutions organized the ‘Cycleathon’ in which residents of Ludhiana pedaled 22-kilometres route their way through the thoroughfare of Mullanpur to Chowkimaan (Ferozepur Road, Ludhiana) to CT University.





Service unto living beings is service unto God



CT Group of institutions supported a programme “Dana Pani” an initiative by Danik Bhaskar in which more than 2500 students from our institutions participated. The students brought earthen pots for the birds to drink water and quench their thirst. The students also distributed earthen pots at traffic signals, spreading a message to the masses to feed the birds who are succumbing to the heat as they have no place to perch.





Pitch in for an eco-friendly Diwali



CT Group of Institutions has taken up this thought where Students are being urged by their teachers to give up bursting firecrackers on Diwali. The school has conducted an Eco-Friendly rally to spread awareness not just among students but in the public too. The rally was conducted by around 250 students of the school in association with Jalandhar Traffic Police from BMC Chowk by students raising slogans and adversaries for the city resident, which ended at Company Bagh Chowk.





Eye Check-up Camp



With the intent of Corporate Social Responsibility, CT Group of Institutions organised ‘Eye Check-up Camp’ at Upcoming CT University campus premises in association with Sankara Eye Hospital. More than 500 residents from around 30 villages were examined





Prevention is better than Cure



CT Group of Institutions has taken an initiative to support the Health of Street Vendors Humanitarian by distributing First Aid Kits in the city. The kits were distributed to more than 500 street vendors, rickshaw pullers and auto drivers along with the health and first aid tips pamphlets. The students and faculty members of CT Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (CTIPS) imparted knowledge on first aid to be given during accidents, etc. Dr. Kailash Kapoor (Civil Surgeon, Jalandhar) appreciated the effort of the CT Group of Institutions.





Help Your Cop



CT Group of Institutions in association with Jalandhar Traffic Police started a campaign “Help Your Cop’ to serve our police officials those who always stood up on their toes to serve the public even in the scorching heat or other odd conditions. Under the campaign a vehicle will serve water to the deputed police officials at the different parts of the city. The Vehicle will provide 14 litres of water to 50 chowks of the city, daily in order to provide relief to them from the heat during their duty hours. Commissioner of Police Arpit Shukla flagged off the Campaign in the presence of other dignitaries.





Pledge to Feed the Hunger



Keeping the motive to Feed the hunger under scanner, CT Group of Institutions has organized a corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities as ‘Pledge to Feed the Hunger’ under ASHA project. The institutions organized the event at Suranasi





Our 2650 students get insured



In a view to provide an additional set of Wellbeing and safety services to the students, CT Group of Institutions in association with SBI General Insurance launched a joint initiative to provide insurance coverage to its 2650 students under the "Students Safety Insurance." Under the safety coverage all the First year students of our Institutions were insured for four different risks that include Death only, Permanent Total Disablement, Permanent Partial Disablement and Hospitalized Expenses.





Say No to Junk Food



An Awareness Programme on Ill-Effects of Fast/Junk Food organized by CT Institute of Hotel Management at Sanjay Karate School.Seminar on health issues was organized by Dr. Rohit Sarin (Director) and explained the children about healthy diet. He advised the students to say No to Junk Food. Dr. Rohit Sarin said, “It is better to eat healthy food than visiting hospitals.”





Punjab Police care for us, we care for Punjab Police



CT Group of Institutions held a signature campaign by serving Lassi (Traditional & healthy Cold Drink) to the Police officials in the city. The Students served the drink to police officials on duty at different parts of the city. Students advocated that traditional Indian coolers are not only good for health but they are beneficial to beat the heat.





CT Group of Institutions in association with Ludhiana Police celebrated World Donors Day



On the occasion of World Donors Day, CT Group of Institutions in association with Ludhiana Police and Somnath Society organized Blood Donation Camp. Mr. S.K. Sharma (Director General of Police), Mr. Pramod Ban (Commissioner of Police), Mr. Vijay Chopra (Chief Executive Officer and Editor-In-Chief, Punjab Kesari Group), Mr. P.S. Bawa (Director, Skyways Hosiery) and Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Institutions) were the Chief Guests for the event.





Traffic Awareness Drive



CT Group of Institutions in association with Ludhiana Traffic Police launched a massive Traffic Awareness drive in Ludhiana. Police officials and students alike made the residents aware of traffic rules and regulations. The students of CT Public School enacted Nukkad Natak spreading the message to Obey Traffic Rules.





Saving girl child : Lohri Dhiyan Di



With greater awareness regarding female foetcide, the Lohri festival was celebrated by CT Group of Institutions for the First time as ‘Lohri Dhiyan Di’ at Government Senior Secondary School, Jagraon. At the event, different families were honoured for promoting the message of Save Girl Child. More than 900 blankets and gifts were distributed among the families.





Multispecialty Health Camp



A Multispecialty health camp was held with the humble aim to provide the best health care to our society. Doctors from “Global Hospital”, Jalandhar provided selfless service in various specialties such as Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Gynecology and General Medicine. The health camp was attended by more than 1000 people; free medicines were also distributed by students of CT Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (CTIPS) as per the prescription given by the doctors.





Swaach Bharat Abhiyan



The students of CT Institute of Management Studies performed Nukkad Natak (Street Play) based on ‘Swacch Bharat Abhiyan.’ The play was conducted to create motivation and awareness among the society for this cause.
