Campus Activities



Providing the students a platform for showcase their talent, “Talent Hunt” competition was organized on Sep 25 & 26 in the college campus. Director Dr. Kuldeep Kaur Grewal presided over the event.  Principal, Dr. Namesh Kumar emphasized on the overall development of the students and highlighted that the college always seeks to strike a balance between academic and co- curricular activities for the students.




NSS Cell and Science Club of CT College of Education, Jalandhar organized an “Awareness Camp” regarding health, hygiene and sanitation among poor and illiterate people in the slum areas. Through interaction and seminars they were given the knowledge of the importance of healthy living.  Counseling was given regarding DRUG ADDICTION- the social evil that is prevailing in our society. Principal Dr. Namesh Kumar applauded the students for their efforts and Chairman S. Charanjit Singh Channi congratulated the students for their initiative towards the betterment of society.




On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, an Inter-House Poetry Recitation and Declamation Competition on theme “Teacher As Our Guiding Star” was organized on 6th September, 2017 at CT College of Education for B.Ed. and M.Ed. students. This activity was organized to explore and encourage the speaking skills of the students. Students participated enthusiastically in the competition.






On 14-11-2017 CT College of Education celebrated children’s day focusing on the theme“Beti Bachao Beti Padhao"





As per the instructions of our Prime minister Mr. Narendra Modi  Ji “National Unity Day” was celebrated all over India. On 31.10.2017 CTCE made an effort to maintain the spirit of national unity by conducting morning assembly in the college campus by “Gandhi House”.





To enhance the affective domain of the students, CT College of Education, Jalandhar organized Art and Craft Workshop in association with Pidilite from 15 to 17 November, 2017. Ms. Preeti Sanghvi, Fevicryl hobby ideas registered teacher was the resource person. She helped the students in learning artistic skills like acrylic painting, glass painting, candle making, molding craft, liquid embroidery, ceramic painting . Overall this workshop was a great success and students were enthusiastic about the workshop as it will be fruitful for their future projects.





It is imperative that school leaders and Educationists understand security and safety in the sense of management function. A great sense of this can be achieved when stakeholders make it a priority on their development agenda. Keeping this in mind CT College of Education, organized a panel discussion on “UNITY AMONG EDUCATIONISTS: AWAKENING WITHIN”.  For facilitating the discussion Dr. Mehrban Singh, Mr. Surjit Singh Maan, Dr. Tirath Singh, Dr. Raj Bala, Mr. Swain, Mr. Jasdeep Mohan, Dr. Shallu Batra, Dr. Ashmeen Kaur, laid forward their views on the topic.  Chief Guest for the event was Dr. Santosh Bhandari. 







• CT College of Education, Jalandhar organized farewell party on May 9, 2017 at Centrum Jyoti Mall where students of B.Ed & M.Ed. Sem - II bid farewell to the outgoing students of B.Ed. & M.Ed. with great enthusiasm. Function began with a floral welcome of the chief guest, Director Mrs. Kuldeep Kaur Grewal by Principal of the college Dr. Namesh Kumar. Dr. Namesh Kumar wished good luck to the final year students for their future. He also expressed his hope that the students will continue holding best positions in upcoming university exams and motivated the students for hard work.
• Students of B.Ed. & M.Ed. Sem-II presented very entertaining group dance, solo dance and solo song performances. All the items were appreciated by the whole audience with thundering applause. Students of final year participated in 'Fashion Parade'. Some exciting games were also arranged for the students and were enjoyed by all.
• The events was very colorful and made every one rejoice. All eyes were wet with the emotions and memories of campus life.The campus was echoing with the song like -" Hum rehein ja na rahein kal , yaad aayenge ye pal "
• Chairman CT Group S. Charanjit Singh Channi & MD. S. Manvir Singh Channi wished good luck to the students for their future.


May 9, 2017 “Farewell Party”


Every institution runs on the strong foundations and this could happen only if their is cooperation between all the members of the institution. In educational organizations this foundation can be made strong with the help of active participation of parents ,teachers and students . Keeping this in mind CT College of Education organized P.T.M on 10/4/2017 in the college campus . Parents as well as all the faculty members actively participated in this event and had a healthy discussion.Parents gave valuable suggestions and had some quarries too which were resolved there and then.Overall PTM was a great success.

Republic Day Celebration

Republic day is the time when we celebrate the glorious past which was created by our ancestors in the hope of bright future. CT College of education did one such effort by conducting special morning assembly on the theme “Republic Day”. All the faculty members as well as the students of B.Ed (sem.II,section A)participated whole heartedly on 24.1.17 in the college hall .On this occasion Partigya and Navjot did compairing ,patriotic speech , poems and dance on patriotic song were also presented .Worthy Principal Sir addressed the students and gave the message to work hard and to develop good citizenship qualities in their life so that they can become responsible citizens.


Jan 24, 2017 “Republic Day Celebration”





CT College of Education, Maqsudan, Jalandhar celebrated morning assembly on the theme of Basant Panchmi on 7th Feb, 2017 with full zeal and enthusiasm. Students of B.Ed and M.Ed participated passionately throughout the event. Following the tradition of the college, assembly was started with college Shabad which was followed by Punjabi songs, group dance, speech, poem recitation, group song and bhanghra according to the theme of the assembly. On the whole the students got acquainted with the facts and seasonal rituals associated with the festival



The students of CTCE celebrated Lohri in the campus on 12 January 2017. Bonfire was lit in the college campus and various cultural items were performed depicting the rich heritage of our culture. Dr. Jasdeep Dhami Campus Director, Maqsudan greeted the occasion by her presence Dr. Namesh Kumar Principal CTCE welcomed her and wished all the staff and students a very happy lohri and prosperous new year.


Pedagogical Approaches in Teaching of Science

CTCE Science  Club conducted seminar on “ Pedagogical Approaches in Teaching of Science” on Nov.10, 2016 under guidance of Ms Rupinder Riar (HOD). Members of club kanchan, Navjot, Varsha & Savitri delivered their views on role of Brainstorming, Quiz, Discussion & Seminar respectively. Presentation helps to develop an understanding of approaches which enhances the learning experiences which further helps to acquire mastery over the development and usage of these approaches in teaching of Science.

Women Cell

Women Cell of CT College of Education, Jalandhar organized a seminar on 'WOMEN EMPOWERMENT' in Govt. Senior Secondary School, Nehru Garden on 04/11/16. The seminar was conducted under the guidance of Ms. Anju Sharma and Ms. Rupinder Riar. Students of B.Ed. and M.Ed. actively participated in the seminar through speeches and poems to make the school students aware regarding the role of women in the developing society .

Parent Teacher Meet

Parents and teachers share a special bond and to strengthen this bond Parent Teacher Meet (PTM) was held in CTCE after the first terminal exams on 17/11/16.It is an essential part of any educational institution to build a strong partnership between parents and teachers. An interactive session was held where students feedback was given to the parents as well as suggestions from the parents side were welcomed for further improvement in college. Overall parents appreciated the qualities of faculty, Instructional process and infrastructure of the college.


Nov 17, 2016 “Parent Teacher Meet”




On 24th September 2016, C T College of Education organized a Faculty Development Program entitled ‘’Restructuring classroom interaction- Innovative practices” which was being chaired by our college Principal Dr Namesh Kumar.

The faculty members presented their topics which are mentioned as below:

Our B.Ed & M.Ed students of Sem I & III actively participated in the event and gained valuable information about the current innovative educational practices.





The declamation contest was organized by Literary club on 14th sept’ 2016 “Hindi Divas”. The aim of this event was to foster a love for language and promote the dissemination of Mother tongue and also provide an avenue for self expression. 25 Students participated in this competition. The active participants mesmerized the audience with their vibrant oratory skills. Every eloquent speaker tried to convince the audience with their perspectives. The passion elicited by the speakers was reinforced with loud applause and words of admiration from the audiences.

At the end Principal of the college Dr Namesh Kumar congratulated the winners and faculty members for their co-operation in conducing such as event that nurtured the students capabilities.







CT College of Education organized “Swach Bharat Abhiyan” on Sep. 13, 2016 in association with CT Institute of Management and Information Technology. Student of B.Ed and M.Ed were taken to nearby areas of College for the purpose of cleanliness. All the students participated actively to make the event a success and took the pledge to spread awareness among the community members regarding keeping their surroundings neat and clean for healthy life.







Talent Hunt entitled as “Dreams Start” 2016 was organized on sep 6,2016 in CT College of Education, Jalandhar. Students of B.Ed. Sem-I session (2016-18) welcomed the college Principal and all the staff members. A day before, Art competition was organized in the campus in which Mehndi, Rangoli, On the Spot Painting, Best out of waste, Slogan writing etc were there.  Different categories of cultural events like Geet Gazal, Solo dances, Declamation, Debate, Choreography were performed event by event in the whole contest. At last, event was concluded by giving the rewards to the students who were winners of the Art Completion as well as Cultural competition. The list of winners is as below:

Teachers' Day was celebrated in CT College of Education, Jalandhar on 5 Sep, 2016. A well organized teachers day was conducted in which students of M.Ed. class performed various activities related to the event. Our college Principal, Dr. Namesh Kumar gave his well wishes to the teachers and discussed the role of teachers and teacher educators for the nation building. He also focused on the inculcation of values and value oriented education.







Orientation day was held in CT College of Education, Jalandhar on 16 August 2016. A well organized orientation day was conducted in which students of new session for B.Ed and M.Ed courses were introduced with the college rules and regulations as well as with the various activities and competitions to be held in the session throughout the year. Our college Principal, Dr. Namesh Kumar welcomed all the students and introduced them with the college staff, gave them well wishes and success for the upcoming session. After the whole orientation, on the eve of Independence Week “Azadi 70” was celebrated by the college cultural committee which was well organized by the college M.Ed students.









CT College of Education, Jalandhar participated in youth festival at GNDU, Amritsar held from 01st to 03rd Oct, 2016. Maintaining the tradition of excellence in Co curricular activities the college secured  following positions in the events motioned below :

Teachers day was celebrated with fervor in CT College of Education, Jalandhar on 5th September. The programme began with a prayer song. A speech on the importance of Teachers' Day was given by Sandeep. Poems on modal teachers were recited by Sukhpreet, Sandeep and Jagmohan and Ritu.  Students made the stage come alive by enacting the role of a teacher in building the nation. Shabad and songs were presented by Geetika, Harpreet, Gurpreet, Pooja, Gurjeet and Sayla. Students honoured the teachers by presenting gifts and handmade cards. In the end, the teachers thanked all the students and wished that the pupil-teachers would be great future builders of nation.
